Distribution Engineer

Allied Resources is looking for a Distribution Engineer for an exciting Full-time opportunity with a innovative energy company in the greater DC area.. A Day in the Life:

• Utilizes electric distribution and transmission software models to simulate system performance and proposes capital improvement projects based on deficiency results.
• Identifies electric system deficiencies and recommends corrective actions to maintain power quality and reliability amidst load growth and aging facilities.
• Coordinates engineering practices for commercial and industrial projects to meet customer-requested electric service deadlines.
• Establishes protection settings for the 15 kV distribution system to minimize outages and improve reliability.
• Supports standards program, evaluates new technologies, and enforces engineering design standards while addressing customer complaints and ensuring compliance with regulations.

The Wish List:

• Bachelors degree from an ABET accredited engineering degree in electrical engineering.
• Must have an EIT/passed the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering Exam)
• 4+ years of utility electrical distribution experience
