Do you want to use your skills, knowledge and talents to serve multiple beverage manufacturing plants in a privately held, family owned, company? Premium Waters is looking for an experienced manufacturing professional to lead 5 manufacturing sites with a 6th addition opening later this year. Planned plants to serve located in: Missouri, Texas, Nevada, Illinois, Indiana.

The Regional Director of Plant Operations will provide leadership of logistics, materials, supply chain, planning, and manufacturing functions over several production plants. The key challenge in this role is to assist plant managers in maintaining production within specific guidelines for production efficiency, labor cost, product rework, waste amounts, and control of on-hold product. This role requires a self-motivated and service-focused professional with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at any given moment. This position reports to the SR VP of Supply Chain.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Planning, directing and coordinating the manufacturing of products in compliance with company goals and objectives with a focus on safety.
  • Share responsibility for short and long-term resources and facility planning, and perform managerial duties as required, such as budgets, performance appraisals, etc.
  • Analyzes delivery and inventory issues and provides solutions.
  • Establishing and controlling conditions of production in order to satisfy customer and quality specifications.
  • Drives implementation and adoption of the Continuous Performance Review Process.
  • Participating actively in standardization, cost reduction, and finding out JDE system protocols.
  • Organizing and directing workflow for satisfying production requirement in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Developing and motivating the cost-effective alternatives and improvements to production process.
  • Maintaining employee safety and morale by creating safe working and efficient working environment.
  • Managing the purchasing, stock control, distribution, and production-scheduling tasks.
  • Planning and predicting customer orders to satisfy shipments and maintain proper staffing levels to meet demands.
  • Maximizing the efficiency of production lines.
  • Ability to liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments and customers.
  • Effectively build lasting relationships with suppliers and develop staff to achieve their best performance on both a team and individual basis.
  • Supports the evaluation of suppliers, negotiation of contracts, and product quality review.
  • Drives development, improvement and reports on site's OKR's including; supplier quality, delivery, cost, and inventory turns performance.
  • Represent the company with poise, integrity, and positivity and the mission, values, equity and priorities with vigor.

Education/Experience Desired

Requires a Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, manufacturing or related field, or equivalent experience.

At least 10 years of related experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc

  • Experience in Supply Management, Tracking Budget Expenses, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, Logistics, Project Management, Inventory, Purchasing and Financial Oversight.
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills with a professional attitude.
  • High-level analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • A strong knowledge of implementing effective cost saving plans as well as monitoring of costs throughout projects by identifying and tracking cost drivers.
  • Able to prioritize workload and manage several projects at any one time.
  • Excellent telephone manner, customer service skills and fully computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and utilizing JDE.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing.
  • Direct experience implementing lean concepts (Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Kaizen participation, 6S) desired.
  • Travel requirements up to 50%.
