Director of Project Management

We are partnered with an industry leader in the renewable natural gas space, who, due to growth, is expanding their team and seeking a Director of Project Management. This is a crucial role in the business, overseeing a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators in the execution of their project portfolio, including construction, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and decommissioning. This role offers the opportunity to join an organization committed to sustainability and driving towards a cleaner future.

To be successful in this position, we are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience leading a team and 5 years of experience managing CapEx projects.

Duties will include:

• Oversee day-to-day operations, providing guidance on design, contracts, schedules, budgets, and execution plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Review offtake, pipeline, utility, and vendor contracts, and provide contract guidance to the project execution team.
• Ensure project documentation adheres to industry standards.
• Participate in team update meetings to assess project status and provide feedback.
• Lead project review meetings and make recommendations to upper management and investors.
• Engage with customers to ensure projects are properly scoped and executed to their satisfaction.

Required experience:

• Over 5 years in direct Project Management and over 5 years in leadership roles within construction and/or engineering in natural gas processing and gas facility design, managing both small- and large-scale construction projects ($20MM+).
• Proven ability to inspire and lead a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators in executing Renewable Natural Gas projects from inception through engineering, construction, and commissioning.
• Competence in reviewing overall project schedules and resource allocation, ensuring project teams are properly equipped for success.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within specifications, and on budget.
• Expertise in reviewing project budgets and schedules, assessing project trajectory, and providing recommendations to ensure timely and consistent project delivery.
• Ability to offer strategic direction to the project execution team, with a demonstrated focus on process improvement and enhancing team efficiency.
