We are looking to welcome a Director of the Annual Fund into our community. The Director of the Annual Fund is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the annual unrestricted fundraising efforts at the school. Particular focus is on the success of the Fund For Ravenscroft. The Director of the Annual Fund is a key member of the school’s Advancement Team and works closely with the Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement and other staff to achieve the school’s annual fundraising targets.
Reports to: Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement
Some Specific Job Responsibilities Include
Four year college degree required, and 3+ years of advancement work and knowledge of the Veracross Development Software 3.0 preferred.

Some Specific Job Responsibilities Include
- Developing and Implementing the Annual “Fund For Ravenscroft” Unrestricted Fundraising Plan: The Director of the Annual Fund will work with the Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement and other staff to create an annual unrestricted giving fundraising plan that includes specific goals, strategies and timelines for meeting and achieving those goals.
- Identifying and Cultivating Donors: As relationships build over time through the Fund For Ravenscroft network of donors, the Director of the Annual Fund should be skilled in identifying potential donors, cultivating relationships with them, and soliciting annual gifts to support the Fund.
- Managing Donor Communications: The Director of the Annual Fund will work in partnership with the Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement to produce and manage all Fund For Ravenscroft related donor communications. They will also support as needed the production of the Ravenscroft’s annual Report on Giving.
- Overseeing Fundraising Events: The Director of the Annual Fund will work in partnership with the Assistant Head of School of Institutional Advancement and the Development and Events Coordinator to oversee fundraising events tied to annual giving. These could include thank you or stewardship events for key donors in addition to donor recruitment efforts.
- Analyzing Fundraising Data: The Director of the Annual Fund should regularly analyze data in conjunction with the Advancement Services and Database Manager related to the annual fundraising efforts, and then use that data to work in partnership with the Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement to inform decisions and to adjust strategies and tactics as needed.
- Managing Volunteers: A robust group of volunteers is essential to the success of annual giving campaigns. The Director of the Annual Fund will be responsible for cultivating, organizing and managing a team of parent volunteers who assist with the annual Fund For Ravenscroft efforts. Building and maintaining this group is essential to the success of the work.
- Other duties as assigned.
