JOB SUMMARY:

The Strategy Director, guided by the Chief Strategy Officer, develops and executes Signet’s corporate strategy, manages strategic projects, supports operating model and cost transformations, identifies business development opportunities, and ensures alignment between banner strategies and financial objectives, working closely with senior leadership.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide active project management for strategy, business development and cost transformation initiatives by creating deliverables, milestones and work plans
  • Lead cross-organizational teams to deliver against plans by coordinating activities, resources, required analyses and communications
  • Develop financial models to determine value creation opportunities across initiatives
  • Lead project working sessions, develop and present materials for Steering Committee meetings and provide input into Executive Committee sessions and Board meetings
  • Solicit and consider organizational input and perspective from relevant constituents to shape the project scope, set of alternatives and recommendation
  • Drive organizational consensus and ownership for strategy implementation

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: MBA preferred

Years of Job-Related Experience: 4-7 years leading and managing a team preferably within a top-tier consulting firm

Acceptable Job-Related Experience: Managing consulting experience 2-4 years preferred

Experience Within Or Serving The Retail Sector Preferred

Technical/Other Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership and relationship building skills, charismatic leader capable of mentoring teams’
  • Outstanding ability to communicate to C-level execs, strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Uncompromising integrity, character, and intellectual honesty; one who strives to do the right thing and deliver quality results; an executive with the courage and conviction to speak their position
  • Financially astute business leader with sound decision making, strategic acumen, process improvement and analytical problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong executive presence and previous experience relating to key customers and articulating company direction, plans and approach, both in one-on-one environments and presenting to larger groups
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of management, with the capability to guide, educate and influence the thinking of senior decision makers
  • Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity and complex strategic analysis projects
  • Previous experience with large, geographically dispersed, multi-functional organizations
