Vector Solutions is seeking a Director of Sales to help lead the team through its next phase of growth. In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction to meet or exceed established targets and increase our market share.


What You'll Do:

  • Lead a sales team that consistently and profitably grows revenue for the business at or above predicted growth rates.
  • Execute and manage the sales strategy for the sales unit by working with management to develop a strategy for obtaining sales goals, improving results, increasing efficiency, and growing overall business.
  • Bubble up frontline trends and identify new market and product opportunities for action by management.
  • Assess existing talent and hire, develop, and retain a high-performing sales team.
  • Own new hire training program to improve time to first sale and increase sales team member success rates.
  • Create and implement KPIs and metrics (revenue and operating) to measure performance and productivity.
  • Provide the sales team with the tools necessary to hit goals and coordinate with other departments and management to remove roadblocks.


What We're Looking For:

  • BA/BS in business administration or a related field
  • Travel up to 35%
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing a high-performing sales team, in the Higher Education Space
  • Strongly preferred is experience with SAAS, Data/Content/Publishing, Analytical or Workflow/LMS sales in the Higher Education Space in US and Canada
  • Proven track record in creating sales forecasts, identifying new areas of growth, and accurately analyzing sales performance data
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • May occasionally lift up to 15 pounds
