Al Warren Oil Company and Altom Transport, Inc. are looking for an experienced, self-driven Transportation Safety Administrator. Responsibilities:
Ensure driver compliance with accident and injury notifications, including clear, accurate, and timely reporting
Manage accident and injury trends, developing policies and procedures specific to Altom to reduce the ratio per 200,000 miles for each category
Oversee CTPAT certifications for Altom Transport and Altom Canada
Handle IFTA tracking and reporting
Manage vehicle plate renewals and title management
Ensure compliance with transportation permits
Maintain safety files and records
Oversee the CDL-qualified hiring process for compliance
Supervise recruiting and training of drivers
Review applications of potential employees and direct the hiring process
Implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including FMCSA and DOT
Facilitate new driver orientation and onboarding processes
Conduct ELD compliance auditing and ensure the driver workforce complies with FMCSA regulations
Perform telematics auditing (Netradyne) to identify opportunities for improved safety performance
Manage and disburse safety incentives monthly
Schedule and hold quarterly safety meetings (multi-location)
Monitor all compliance items, including physicals, licenses, random drug screens, annual reviews, and hours of service regulations, to ensure adherence at every operation
Assist management on projects as needed
Requirements
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in compliance, safety, and DOT preferred
Understanding of the internal workings of tanker equipment
Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, Hazardous Materials Regulations, Drug & Alcohol Regulations (including Parts 40, 199, & 382), and other Regulatory Guidance
Knowledge and understanding of Electronic Logging Device (ELD) rules and regulations
