About Role

Ring Concierge is a rapidly growing, female-founded fine jewelry company, specializing in custom engagement rings and fine jewelry. We are seeking an experienced Retail leader to oversee operational excellence of our brick and mortar stores. This role will be instrumental in executing the rollout of our US retail store strategy, owning and driving profitable growth across the fleet. The ideal candidate should have a passion for project management, customer service, and operations. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth retail environment is a must.

Responsibilities

Client Experience

  • Foster a client centric, instore culture across all doors; focused on developing relationships and enhancing loyalty
  • Partner with store management to elevate our in store customer experiences, ensuring the field teams are empowered to deliver personalized, RC-aligned shopping experience

Business & Store Operations

  • Develop relationships with key external partners and in field store teams; acting as the key liaison between RC corporate and field teams
  • Spearhead new store opening projects, collaborating across departments to ensure seamless planning and execution
  • Take a hands-on approach to managing all RC aspects of new store openings, partnering with cross functional teams on store build out, operational procedure development, training, store set up, and local marketing efforts to ensure in-store operational excellence at opening
  • Talent & Staffing: Partner with store management teams to develop a talent recruitment process for all store roles to recruit and hire passionate, motivated individuals who embody RC values and are enthusiastic about creating memorable experiences and building relationships
  • Training: Partner with internal RC stakeholders to develop selling ceremony and clienteling training programs routed in delivering consistent RC experience and building customer connections
  • Be an assortment and industry expert; partner with Merchandising to build product knowledge manuals. Train store associates on the selling ceremony
  • In partnership with Ops and Customer Service, document SOPs and ensure store compliance through monthly store visits. Build relationships with the field team and assist with floor sets, training, etc.
  • Partner with senior leadership to scope and plan future store locations; supporting the development of our future retail expansion roadmap
  • Plan and conduct store visits, meeting with management and store teams for ongoing brand and product training

Store Performance

  • Drive and maximize sales performance across both, our third party operated RC stores as well as our owned and operated locations, working with store teams to set and exceed monthly sales goals
  • Manage and deliver by-door P&Ls outcomes, aligning strategies to deliver on revenue and profitability targets while maintaining customer experience and operational excellence across the retail channel
  • Participate in the annual budget process for store P&Ls, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets
  • Closely monitor, analyze and report on sales performance, KPI, and key clienteling metrics for all stores; share insights and actions with senior leadership. Propose innovative, market specific ideas to increase awareness and conversion
  • Partner with store management to ensure all employees receive continued training, development and coaching to reach and exceed store goals
  • Partner with store management to ensure their teams are executing their established CRM and clienteling plans
  • Work with Planning on inventory and replenishment strategies

In-Store Experience & Brand Management

  • Collaborate with Marketing to design and execute in-store marketing activations that will bring the RC brand story, product, promotions, and seasonal campaigns to life
  • Partner with Marketing to establish and manage new store openings, go to market, promotional, and product launch calendars; collaborating to activate in-store events and execute localized clienteling/CRM strategies
  • Work with store teams to ensure compliance and seamless execution of in store marketing and merchandising initiatives, ensuring all in store marketing collateral (a-frames, vinyls, etc) are displayed in accordance to promotional calendars
  • Oversee the execution of RC visual merchandising strategies across all doors; maintain category adjacencies and presentations that are aligned with the brand's image and strategic goals. Implement displays that are compelling, easy to shop, and effectively showcase RC’s unique assortment
  • Partner with Site Merchandising to ensure the look and feel of ecommerce and stores is consistent. Identify opportunities to improve the customer journey and conversion across both channels

About You

  • Possesses superior leadership skills; ability to engage and inspire in field store teams
  • Ability to work and execute independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication(written and verbal), and follow-up skills with experience presenting to senior and field leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 years of retail management experience, 6+ years of relevant multi-store retail and project management experience; preferably in a luxury or premium contemporary setting
  • Experience leading and cultivating a client-centric store culture, committed to delivering exceptional client experience and service standards
  • Proven track record in hiring, developing, training and leading productive and effective store teams
  • Experience leading and launching new store openings
  • Ability to work full time but varied schedules including weekends and holidays if needed
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and GoogleSuite skills
  • Knowledge of Shopify preferred, but not required

Details

  • Full-time role located in midtown NYC
  • Hybrid work model with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote
  • Office Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the knowledge that we have a startup culture and your day may extend past listed office hours
