Novaris is currently working with a global leader within ingredients. They are seeking an R&D Director focused on cosmetic & skin care active ingredients.

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join the team as the Director of Research and Development for cosmetic & skin care active ingredients. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation, overseeing product development and new product launches and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficacy in our cosmetic active ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Oversee the development of new cosmetic active ingredients, from concept to commercialization.
• Overseeing product launches in a variety of markets
• Devising and implanting successful strategies for the regional markets that aligns with the global strategy
• Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality assurance.
• Conduct research on new trends, technologies, and raw materials in the cosmetics industry.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Maintain and enhance relationships with external partners, suppliers, and industry experts.
• Present research findings and product developments to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure continuous improvement of processes and methodologies within the R&D department.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in research and development with active ingredients

Experience leading a team

Experience devising successful strategies and launching new products
