The Opportunity

As the Director of Project Management for our Web Solutions business line, you will lead a high-performing project management team focused on delivering web solutions efficiently and consistently. You will drive continuous improvement in project management processes to minimize risks, and ensure project success.

• Project plans are accurate and aligned to the project teams estimated effort to complete the project
• Project risks are proactively assessed and mitigated
• 90% of projects maintain schedule stability over a period of at least 90 days

Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

• Set direction that inspires, motivates and enables project managers to contribute to OHO’s success
• Manage the project management team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
• Lead annual performance and compensation reviews for the project management team
• Oversee hiring and onboarding processes for new project management team members
• Elevate issues to leadership as necessary as well as cascade messages to project managers
• Define annual goals for the discipline in collaboration with the project management team
  
  

Project Management Operations

• Support project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and within scope
• Support project managers in proactively establishing risk mitigation plans
• Maintain consistency and high quality in project management processes and deliverables
• Lead weekly department meetings to ensure alignment and address any challenges
• Lead project retrospectives to capture lessons learned and continuously improve processes. Ensure there’s a feedback loop with Web Solutions leadership.
• Maintain project management documentation and ensure adherence to defined best practices
• Collaborate with PM’s to ensure project plans are efficient, accurate, within scope and based on team estimates
• Invoicing and project expenses approvals
• Approve consultant agreements ensuring margin targets are met
• Support project managers in developing plans to improve project profitability/rates where needed
• Manage project manager assignments, ensuring optimal utilization of project management team
• Support project managers in building trust and effective communication with clients. Collaborate with project managers to ensure a positive client experience throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure project managers have a deep understanding of OHO's Web Solutions deliverables, including their scope, purpose, and efficient management practices
  
  

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in project management, with a minimum of 5 years leading and managing a project management team.
• Proven track record of delivering complex web projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
• In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in project budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and issue resolution.
• Strong understanding of project management tools and software (experience with Basecamp, Jira, Kantata a plus).
• Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing project management team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
• Ability to delegate effectively and empower team members.
• Experience in conducting performance reviews and career development planning.
• Strong understanding of financial metrics relevant to project management (e.g., revenue, profitability, hourly rates, etc.).
• Experience in managing project budgets and identifying opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate project progress and address client concerns.
• Experience working in a digital marketing agency or similar environment.
