About the role:

Meptik are looking for a Director of Project Management to join our expanding team. This position will sit within Meptik (a Disguise business), and also the Global Disguise organisation.

The Director of Project Management will have solid client facing Program Management experience; managing complex client facing projects of $10M+, across multiple time zones.

This person will lead a Global project team at Meptik, and will work alongside a technical team, a creative team, as well as managing 3rd party vendors.

The Director of Project Management will bring experience of large physical system installations from a Creative-Tech Industry, to ensure some of our most exciting virtual production projects are delivered on time and to budget.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for managing multiple, complex external client-facing projects with budgets around $10M+
  • Line manage the project team of 6+FTE, including being responsible for team development and training. Hands on approach when needed in the team's projects
  • Develop and implement detailed project schedules, work plans and project budgets
  • Discovering cost-saving opportunities
  • Define project scope and objectives
  • Own resource management for projects; allocating and scheduling resources including human capital and equipment based on organisational priorities and project requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, department heads, and project managers to develop resourcing plans, assess resource needs, and allocate resources accordingly
  • Develop and implement solid project management governance and processes
  • Manage project progress, performance and risks
  • Client management; comfortable being a senior point of contact between the client and the project. Able to handle, escalate and resolve issues
  • Stakeholder management (3rd party vendors, partners, rental companies, internal technical teams, creative teams, sales and support teams)
  • Ensure strong & clear communication between all parties in a given project

Experience we are looking for:

  • Experience managing multiple client facing projects concurrently, to budget and on time
  • Experience line managing, developing and growing a project team, with remote and in-person resources within different time zones
  • Experience managing, creating and monitoring project budgets around $10M, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Experience developing, delivering and managing project plans, risk & issues, task scheduling, and change control
  • Experience handling resource management for projects including allocating, scheduling and analysing resource utilisation
  • Experience developing and implementing project governance and processes
  • Experience managing and communicating with multiple stakeholders including 3rd party vendors, clients and internal technical and creative teams
  • Experience using project management software including smartsheet resource manager
  • Experience implementing projects for large physical system installations
  • Experience working in a Creative-Tech Industry (such as Production or Live Event Installation)
