As the Director of People Services, you will develop and implement policies that encompass all aspects of human resources activities. This includes recruitment, selection, training and development, compensation, benefits, wage and hour issues, and employee safety. Responsibilities
Responsible for consistent enforcement of company policies & standards through written material, training
Ensures company compliance with all wage & hour laws & other regulatory agencies
Counsels team members & managers on team member relations issues and problems; ensures disciplinary actions & terminations are carried out legally & consistently
Manages compensation programs through job & market analyses, & makes recommendations on position wage ranges in a systematic and consistent manner
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Performance Management. Ensures that pay increases and performance appraisals are completed, submitted and received in a timely manner;
Together with the General Manager, oversees all company-wide training & development programs, in addition to Forbes Luxury training initiatives
Oversees coordination of all team member recognition programs & events
Responsible partnering with property leaders on safety, loss control, compliance & claims management functions
Prepares & monitors HR budget & forecast.
Responsible for conducting annual team member engagement surveys and evaluating and communicating results.
Serves as a business partner to Leadership and Executive Committee, ensuring that all HR policies and practices support the overall business objectives.
Manage all unemployment claims & represents employer at hearings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years professional experience in Human Resources.
Excellent command of federal employment practices laws & regulations.
Energetic self-starter, with strong leadership skills, work ethic, and highest level of integrity.
Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Ability to exercise good and cautious judgment and effectively interface with all types of people diplomatically.
The ability to balance being a Strategic Business Partner while also being a hands-on Human Resources leader.
Proven track record of success in recruiting, both international and domestic.
Previous experience in partnering with key leaders and Executive Committee members at a hotel.
Experience in luxury resort, preferred.
