As our Director of Information Technology, you will drive our technological strategy, ensuring seamless and efficient operations with a strong focus on infrastructure, including servers, hardware, and security, while also overseeing development activities such as report creation, master data management, ERP systems, and some application development.

As Director of IT, you will lead:

Information Systems Leadership

  • Champion Technology: Lead and take key responsibility for all organizational hardware and software, emphasizing infrastructure
  • Support Excellence: Oversee the IT help desk, ensuring high levels of support and responsiveness
  • Strategic Decisions: Set policies for purchasing and maintaining technology, including Cloud and On-Prem solutions

Risk Management and Performance Analysis

  • Collaborative Safeguarding: Maintain and recover business systems in collaboration with colleagues
  • Policy Development: Create policies, procedures, data security standards, and schedules
  • System Integrity: Ensure system backups, maintenance, server upgrades, and patching
  • Security Measures: Provide high-end firewalling, intrusion inspection, and malware protection

Financial Stewardship

  • Budget Management: Create and manage the IT annual budget and lead AI strategy discussions

Strategy Development and Integration

  • Strategic Vision: Develop and oversee a comprehensive information systems plan aligned with growth targets
  • Business Requirements: Determine technology business requirements with leadership, advising on evaluation, ROI, selection, implementation, and maintenance of information systems
  • Process Decisions: Ensure systematic decisions on technology make, buy, or outsource options

Business Systems Enhancement

  • ERP Direction: Guide the power user group to leverage ERP and other system functionalities
  • Process Improvements: Identify and propose new business process enhancements
  • Growth Facilitation: Enable company growth and scalability through systems thinking
  • Documentation: Standardize work for users
  • Development Vision: Provide vision to the development team to solve business issues effectively

Leadership and Supervision

  • Team Development: Foster a customer service-oriented technology team
  • Coaching: Develop the team to grow beyond individual skill sets
  • Prioritize Improvements: Use metrics to identify and prioritize improvements

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Analytics, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience managing or directing an information systems environment that includes ERP
  • Advanced understanding of ERP system utilization within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven track record in leading strategic initiatives and delivering outstanding business results
  • Thorough knowledge of industry trends, database engines, operating systems, servers, and telecommunications hardware and software, with a strong focus on infrastructure
  • Understanding of paperless and mobile applications for a manufacturing shop floor environment
  • Ability to manage time and work on multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Experience in negotiating vendor contracts and managing vendor relationships
  • Highly motivated towards solving business needs and improving processes
  • Ability to understand the financial impact of business processes
