Director of Information Technology

Company:

Our client is a leading distributor of industrial products based in Cincinnati, OH, poised for significant growth through mergers and acquisitions. As they expand, they are seeking a seasoned Director of IT to lead their technology initiatives and ensure seamless integration of systems across their growing organization. This client is expected to triple in size over the next 3-5 years!

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead IT projects from inception to completion, including planning, coordination, and execution with a strong sense of accountability.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for issue resolution with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), ERP/CRM vendors, and other external technology partners.
• Oversee and optimize vendor relationships to ensure alignment with company objectives and service level agreements.
• Provide strategic direction and technical expertise in the implementation and maintenance of Epicor Prophet 21 ERP system.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business leaders to understand technology needs and develop IT strategies that support business growth and operational efficiency.
• Ensure security, compliance, and best practices are maintained across all IT systems and platforms.
• Manage IT budgets and resources effectively to support business goals and objectives.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the distribution or manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience managing and implementing Epicor Prophet 21 ERP system is required.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Experience working with a variety of technologies such as Microsoft O365, NetSuite or Dynamics, Dell hardware, Windows OS, VMWare, Azure/AWS, Box, Okta, Jive collaboration tools, and telephony systems.
• Excellent vendor management skills with a track record of building effective partnerships.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications in ITIL, PMP, or relevant technical certifications.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, managing IT integrations in a rapidly growing environment.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and regulatory compliance.
