Title: Director of Food Service Sales
Position Summary
The primary objective of this role is to foster relationships with both internal and external clients while managing the sales force through the creation and execution of sales strategies that boost revenue and inspire staff to meet these targets. The position reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing for the Midwest.
Location: Remote, within commuting distance to Dallas, Texas
Position Responsibilities & Duties:
Direct and coordinate all sales activities locally and regionally
Set sales quotas and goals for the team; oversee and direct team performance
Drive the sales process from initiation to conclusion
Prepare sales budgets and projections; approve expenditures
Track and analyze sales statistics using key quantitative metrics
Strategically plan, execute, evaluate, and present customer-specific marketing initiatives and R&D projects
Develop and maintain contacts at appropriate levels within assigned accounts to influence decisions
Lead efforts to identify and develop new opportunities to grow product sales and profits within your area
Develop annual business plans for customers to maximize business opportunities and drive profitable growth
Leverage market knowledge and key contacts to access potential new customers
Expand the business by increasing sales to existing customers and attracting new ones
Analyze category, industry, and competitive trends to recommend proactive plans to grow and protect the company's sales and profits
Initiate, communicate, and oversee major projects and rollouts to completion
Recruit and manage brokers as needed to meet sales objectives in specified geographic areas
Job Requirements:
5 to 15 years of experience in Food Sales, preferably in the Industrial Baking industry.
Minimum of 5 years managing and leading a foodservice sales team with progressive accomplishments
Must have contacts and relationships with:
Premier food distributors in Texas and Oklahoma
Specialty Wholesalers
Small Regional Chains
Convenience store experience/contacts a plus
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
