We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Finance and Accounting to join a successful local construction company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities, ensuring the financial health of the company, and supporting their continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals.
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Manage and direct the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and the executive team.
• Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities, recommending actions to mitigate risks.
• Lead the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall company objectives and initiatives.
• Oversee audits and coordinate with external auditors as necessary.
• Mentor and develop finance and accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with ideally 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulations.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus but not required.
