As a Director of Delivery Infrastructure, you'll assume a pivotal leadership position, working closely with our team to streamline operations within our cloud infrastructure domain. Your primary focus will be on orchestrating the delivery of our infrastructure services, ensuring seamless operations and driving continuous improvement.

In this capacity, you'll spearhead our efforts in cloud infrastructure, driving initiatives to maximize value for our clients and devising effective go-to-market strategies tailored to our infrastructure services. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing recruitment efforts, ensuring we attract and retain top-tier talent essential for our success. Your strategic insights will be instrumental in shaping the trajectory of our delivery teams, as you implement innovative methodologies to meet the evolving needs of our clients and the ever-changing technological landscape.

This role is an immediate full-time position.

Insight on your impact

  • Lead Infrastructure Operations: Oversee the Google Cloud infrastructure engineering team, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. This team focuses on core GCP compute, storage, kubernetes, security, networking, GPU/TPU, and other managed services available on GCP.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans for Google Cloud infrastructure initiatives, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage deeply with customers to provide technical expertise, add business value, and develop successful go-to-market strategies.
  • Innovation and Growth: Drive growth and innovation within the team, identifying opportunities and implementing strategies for expansion.
  • Hiring and Talent Development: Lead hiring initiatives to attract and retain top talent, ensuring the development of a robust talent pipeline.
  • Operational Excellence: Regularly assess and enhance operational processes to boost efficiency and service quality.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, nurturing future leaders within the organization.

Your qualifications, your influence

To be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Google Cloud infrastructure, with experience in managing and optimizing cloud environments.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role within the professional services industry, particularly with Google Cloud.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from initiation to delivery, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Strategic Thinker: Capable of driving growth, innovation, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering positive relationships across different cultural and organizational backgrounds.
  • Talent Management: Demonstrated experience in people management, team building, and talent development across different geographic locations.

  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business principles, financial metrics, and market dynamics to drive the successful delivery of cloud projects.
  • Continuous Learning: Eagerness to stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Certifications: Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum) or cloud (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are advantageous.
