Director of Critical Infrastructure

Founded in 1989 and based out of Raleigh, NC, National Power, LLC is a premier provider of critical infrastructure and back-up power solutions. We are currently seeking applications for the position of Director of Critical Infrastructure in our Critical Infrastructure division.

The Director, Critical Infrastructure (“CI”) at National Power, LLC (“the Company”) will report to the Vice President, Critical Infrastructure and be primarily responsible for driving growth for the organization through the leadership and oversight of a CI customer relationship. This will be achieved by working with your assigned teams to maintain excellent project management, quality of work product, safety, management of current teammates and the recruitment and training of new team members. National Power is a growing company, and this is a highly visible role requiring strong leadership and management skills.

Job Duties: The Director, Critical Infrastructure will drive growth within their assigned market through the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage operations for an assigned National Power customer, including sales, quoting, project management, DC installation and electrical crews, subcontractors, and other key personnel
  • Responsible for meeting financial targets through overall management of projects, ensuring timelines are met and job costing is accurate and timely
  • Work with CI Managers and Project Managers to drive prioritization and execution, ensuring the successful completion of all project deliverables according to projections and client expectations
  • Work with VP, Critical Infrastructure on annual quota setting and periodic performance reviews for sales team to ensure they are provided the necessary support to achieve sales and margin goals
  • Maintain strong and strategic relationships with assigned customer(s) and vendors
  • Work with internal HSE group to ensure safety at all sites with all crews and subs
  • Work with internal quality specialist to ensure Company quality standards are met on all jobs
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and training of new team members to ensure market needs are met
  • Evaluate team’s strengths and weaknesses to determine best development plan to upskill and improve knowledge and results.
  • Monitor and improve existing processes as necessary to maximize efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or relevant experience
  • 10+ years of experience in critical infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to read, comprehend and interpret site plans, construction drawings and scopes of work
  • Knowledge of construction best practices, safety standards and general construction experience in the broadband/wireless industry
  • Ability to create a strong team environment
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Overnight travel required
  • Valid driver’s license required and must be insurable under the Company’s insurance policy

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity; typing
  • Clarity of vision for use of computer and driving
  • Sitting/driving for long periods is frequently required

  • This is a remote position and will require employee to work from home
