Director of Continuous Improvement (Troy, MI)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Director of Continuous Improvement to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for identifying, planning, and executing projects that optimize and streamline our business and administrative processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze current workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency, productivity, improve our customer experience and cost reduction.

This position is an in-office position, located in our Troy, Michigan office. Travel to other locations is required, approximately 10-15%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and identify opportunities for improvement in core processes, including account management, payment/claims processing, call center management, document/application processing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of current business processes, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and assess the potential impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage project plans: Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets. Lead cross-functional teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring and evaluation.
  • Design and implement process improvements: Develop and implement innovative solutions such as process re-engineering, automation, and workflow optimization. Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure technical feasibility and integration.
  • Lead and manage project teams: Build and motivate high-performing teams, effectively delegate tasks, and provide ongoing coaching and support. Foster collaboration and communication across departments to ensure successful implementation of process changes.
  • Measure and track results: Monitor project performance against key metrics and KPIs. Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and identify opportunities for further improvement.
  • Communicate effectively: Clearly and concisely communicate project goals, progress, and results to stakeholders at all levels. Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to keep everyone informed and aligned.
  • Stay up-to-date on process improvement methodologies and best practices: Continuously learn and adapt to new tools and techniques for process optimization.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in process improvement or project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Experience with projects leveraging AI and RPA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Agile.
  • Experience with process mapping and modeling tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.


Bonus Points:

  • Experience in specific industry relevant to the company.
  • Certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt).
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Experience with SharePoint, other low code tools (Microsoft PowerBI and Power Automate apps).

Work Schedule - Full-time. Monday – Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm. Required in office (No at-home days).

Pay

The salary for this position is $150,000 per year. Actual salary is dependent on skills, experience, education, and other business factors.
