In this role, you will be responsible for the research and development of new sales opportunities with government and federal agencies both domestically and internationally.
Researches and develops strategies to identify emerging segments and target customers for new business development
Drives growth by expanding relationships with new governmental agencies and growing market share for existing channels
Develops short-term strategies and sales tactics to negotiate and secure new business opportunities
Assists in developing partnerships both domestically and internationally, where applicable, to support business expansion
Serves as the primary point of contact and relationship manager for senior defense and government officials
Leads negotiations and executes potential opportunities with existing and potential customers to ensure successful outcomes
Develops strategic initiatives to establish a sales platform aimed at achieving established annual targets
Collaborates with other governmental sales groups within the organization to sustain relationships and share insights
Identifies revenue growth opportunities for regions and plays a lead role in working with internal team members to capitalize on them
Attends and manages trade show activities as needed, representing the company at select events
Travels up to 50% of the time to fulfill job responsibilities effectively and build strong customer relationships
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred
Extensive background in sales, with 6+ years of experience specifically in the Tactical Wheeled Vehicle industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs
Minimum of 6 years of prior US Department of Defense (DoD) service with a focus in international programs development or Foreign Area Officer experience preferred
Experience working with other federal agencies such as the DoD, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Department of State (DoS) is highly desirable
Working understanding of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) policies to ensure compliance with export control laws
Proven ability to create and sustain strategic customer relationships, fostering trust and loyalty among key stakeholders
Demonstrated success in accurately forecasting sales opportunities and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets aligned with company objectives
