Description
Directs the large broad-based multi-sectioned office responsible for K-12 curriculum, instruction, and assessment, requiring leadership and accountability for several divisionwide initiatives; plans, organizes, supervises, and evaluates all activities, program functions, personnel, and physical and fiscal resources of the office; is responsible and accountable for strategic planning and outcomes.
Qualifications
Required
Master's degree.
Seven (7) years of progressively more responsible job specific related experience in teaching and/or administration and supervision.
Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) designated as appropriate to the assignment.
Administration and supervision Prek-12 endorsement.
Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and current trends of school administration.
Knowledge of the procedures and practices of the educational specialties in a preK-12 educational environment.
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations related to K-12 curriculum and instruction.
Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
Ability to manage fiscal, physical, and human resources to successfully carry out the function and programs of the office.
Ability to supervise, evaluate, and lead.
Ability to facilitate meetings and/or present information to groups, including the School Board.
Capacity to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with personnel assigned to schools, other departments, public entities, families, and citizens
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Salary Range
$139,807 - $212,684
