About us
HES, an educational service provider for grades Prek-12 believes in the powers of its dynamic staff through empowerment and engagement to deliver a world-class mission: Creating an academic environment that promotes excellence and prepares students to be life-long learners and leaders of tomorrow. HES and its charter schools (Star International, Universal, Universal Learning and Noor International Academies) are committed to serving their communities. Dr. Ali Y Bazzi serves as the HES President and Mr. Haidar Nemer as its CEO. HES provides a strong supportive environment with staff development that leads to job growth, competitive salaries, benefits, career development, and a strong sense of community, all make HES a rewarding career path. HES schools have consistently earned various accolades and top rankings in the State and nationally. Through their curriculum that focuses on the Michigan Core Curriculum and international cultures, HES schools teach students to become upright responsible decision-makers, reflective of equity, respect and understanding, while maximizing each individual’s talents. HES schools has over 400 staff members and educate about 3,500 students across the Metro Detroit area who come from diverse educational and ethnic backgrounds.

Within 6 months of opening The Nest, Star International Academy's (SIA) Career Technical Education Center (CTE), students have earned a multitude of state and district awards within their career aspirations. Each accolade is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of our students, as well as the exceptional guidance and support provided by the faculty and staff. From innovative projects to outstanding performances in competitions, these awards not only showcase the students' proficiency in various vocational fields but also underscore the center's commitment to fostering excellence in career development. This achievement is a reflection of the center's mission to empower students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in their chosen profession. First Robotics Competition (FRC): District Winners (Livonia, MI) Michigan Association of Broadcasters (MAB) Awards: 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place awards in various categories. We are immensely proud of our students, staff, parents and community for these tremendous and historic awards. Yet again, SIA like many other charter schools, demonstrate the remarkable success in providing innovative and effective educational opportunities for students. As we celebrate these milestones, we eagerly anticipate the countless more successes that lie ahead for our students.
