Primary Purpose

The Chief of Staff supporting the ADUSA Digital team is responsible for providing leadership & guidance to support the effective management of the broader ADUSA Digital portfolio. Acts as the central liaison between the ADUSA Digital team and other key stakeholders. The individual in this role will ensure all business strategic initiatives are streamlined and will oversee those key initiatives from creation to execution. Advisor to the Chief Digital Officer and ADUSA Digital leadership team and ensures all lines of communication within the business are clear, organized, and effectively disseminated to all appropriate parties. Reports to the Chief Digital Officer.


Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days.


Duties And Responsibilities

  • Guides and ensures all pertinent business topics and objectives are documented, discussed, and shared with all appropriate leadership and stakeholders on a regular basis through regularly scheduled leadership meetings and, as necessary, deep-dive solutioning sessions.
  • Organizes and prioritizes business topics to be discussed by broader leadership participants including the ADUSA Digital team, and retail brands supported by those teams.
  • Partners closely with the ADUSA Digital leadership team to solution and implement strategic initiatives to ADUSA brands inclusive of budget, resource & strategic planning
  • Supports the ADUSA Digital leadership team in developing strategic goals, inclusive of identifying action plans and key performance indicators that help monitor success.
  • Identifies areas of improvement across the organization and makes actionable recommendations.
  • Leads select projects by partnering with necessary resources across ADUSA to ensure a successful, on time, and on budget solutions that serves the needs of the customers and the enterprise.
  • Provides ADUSA Digital leadership team with regular and direct visibility to overall portfolio and project financial health and guides on risk factors, assisting with mitigation plans.
  • Provides change leadership support across the ADUSA Digital team and acts on behalf of leadership team to answer inquiries.
  • Develop executive messaging related to the plans and progress of select digital and eCommerce offerings and help define how they come to life within the ADUSA brands.
  • Partners with legal to ensure all licensing, commercial terms, and contracts comply with all requirements to implement digital and eCommerce in the brands.
  • Partners with brand marketing and merchandising functions to ensure digital and eCommerce needs are being met.
  • Facilitates and structures quarterly business reviews across the digital executive leadership team.
  • Supports the design & preparation of extended business review (EBR) planning and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or other related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in progressive leadership roles in digital strategy, product management, analytics, or consulting.
  • Outstanding leader with proven success in a multi-location environment with excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and create outcomes without direct authority.
  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills. Ability to lead organizational behavioral change toward increased collaboration and accountability.
  • Extensive experience and judgment to align financial and human capital resources to execute initiatives and accomplish goals.
  • Strong Business Acumen:

  • Ability to understand the landscape in which ADUSA competes: competition, distributors, risks and upcoming challenges.
  • An understanding of how data, markets and teams support the overarching strategy.

  • Strong knowledge of the Grocery business.

Deep knowledge of eCommerce business and technical practices including aspects of:

  • In-depth experience with enterprise-level digital solutions and how various systems integrate to create the strongest customer experience.
