About The Job
This position is needed to represent and advance Twilio’s interests in the United States with Federal Agencies, Congress, and the Administration. Working closely with Twilio's Global Public Policy, Legal teams, and business units, you advocate for Twilio's priorities with these key stakeholders in the U.S.

This role will be remote, and based in Washington, D.C.
Travel

About The Job
This position is needed to represent and advance Twilio’s interests in the United States with Federal Agencies, Congress, and the Administration. Working closely with Twilio's Global Public Policy, Legal teams, and business units, you advocate for Twilio's priorities with these key stakeholders in the U.S.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate closely with Twilio's Global Public Policy Team and business units to align with company objectives.
- Coordinate the strategic planning, implementation, and oversight of Twilio's government affairs and public policy initiatives, focusing on key areas such as AI, Privacy, Data transfer/usage, VoIP issues, global networks, outages, data flows, trade, tax, cybersecurity, and FISA
- Monitor and anticipate new telecommunications regulatory requirements and technology policy developments in the United States.
- Coordinate the development and submission of company filings in telecommunications policy proceedings as appropriate.
- Cultivate relationships with and advance Twilio’s policy priorities directly with key senior-level officials at the FTC, FCC, U.S. Congress and the Administration.
- Build coalitions with key policy stakeholders including companies, trade associations, and civil society groups.

Required
- 10+ years of U.S. Federal Government advocacy and public policy experience with a demonstrated understanding of telecommunications regulations and governing bodies in the United States.
- Experience in the U.S. legislative and regulatory process, with an exceptional understanding of the Senate Commerce Committee, House Energy and Commerce Committee, Senate and House Intelligence committees.
- Experience in AI, Privacy, Data transfer/usage, VoIP issues, global networks, outages, data flows, trade, tax, cybersecurity, and FISA.
- Experience in policy advocacy, influencing government institutions at all levels and implementing successful advocacy campaigns.
- Experience in building effective relationships, demonstrating leadership in management and public policy implementation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence and build effective working relationships with all levels of the government.
- A preference to work as a team player; and an ability to manage a large number of projects.

- Please note this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.
- Based in Colorado: $180,880 - $226,100.
- Based in New York, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $191,520 - $239,400.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $212,800 - $266,000.
- This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan.
- All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
