Your New Role...
This role leads in the development and execution of licensing business development strategies to drive revenue across the Apparel categories in North America. Leading a team of Managers, the Director will oversee the revenue goals & strategic roadmap , including budgets and quarterly forecasting - driven by a growth ambition, results-orientation, collaboration & trust, innovation, inclusion, and integrity. With a deep understanding of the marketing, the Director will drive growth-fueled partnerships with licensee stakeholders and elevate how we show up together at retail.
Your Role Accountabilities...
In partnership with senior management, leadership role in developing long-term (2+ years out) category strategies and plans
Ownership of revenue plan and leading team to execute
Planning and monitoring of quarterly forecast and annual budget
Oversee management of licensees to establish product assortment and retail distribution plans
Partner with Franchise, Creative and Retail to drive Franchise initiatives
Identify, evaluate and execute long-term new business initiatives
Interface frequently with senior management providing business updates, internal and external formal presentations and participate in strategy discussions
Identify and apply competitive and industry key learnings and trends
Ability to deliver pitch/presentations
Key relationship stakeholder with senior level licensee executives
Mentor and grow best-in-class talent
Qualifications & Experience...
Work Experience
10+ years of experience in Licensing industry with background in Fashion category management preferred.
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
BA/BS degree in business or related field preferred
MBA Preferred
Knowledge/Skills
Exceptional licensing acumen and relationship skills
Proven ability to set strategic and operational plans
Strong negotiation skills with ability to navigate and lead complex retail and licensee agreements
Proven financial responsibility and accountability for categories – revenue and expenses
Strong business development skills
Strong collaboration and partnership skills
Strong ability to lead, mentor and grow best-in–class talent
Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively cross-functionally and with senior management
Effective written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational/leadership and planning skills required
Strong and varied computer software knowledge required (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of retail landscape: key retailers, set dates, buying cycles, sell-in process, etc.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $126,350.00 - $234,650.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
