The position is US based and involves selling our genomics bioinformatics services (including software development, pipeline development, algorithm development, data curation, and assay development services) to pharma, biotech, device and diagnostics companies. The role involves prospecting leads, identifying opportunities, working with our technical teams to offer solutions, and closing deals.
Key Accountability Areas:
Energetic prospecting: Engage effectively on social media and at conferences to generate leads in sufficient numbers.
Good domain knowledge: understand customer requirements quickly in conversations.
Careful summarization: summarize conversations for internal teams with sufficient clarity and detail to craft proposals.
Deal closing: delicately yet persistently chase deals to closing.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
At least 10 years of experience selling software or bioinformatics services in life sciences markets as part of companies like Accenture, ZS, EPAM, BISC etc.
A working understanding of omics technologies.
Preferably, experience closing deals in complex organizations, like big pharma.
