Perform welding activities, following written instructions independently.
Perform the weld by manual TIG.
Prepare parts for welding by grinding, machining, and belt sanding.
Documenting travelers after operations performed.
General department housekeeping.
Maintain production standards/quality.
Regular attendance and punctuality.
Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
Ensures compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements.
Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment, as required.
Performing other tasks in the facility, as needed.
Quals--
2ND SHIFT POSITION
Operate manual TIG Welder on aerospace parts. Weld and visually inspect parts per instruction of the traveler. Use other Welding machines and/or equipment as required.
Qualifications
Ability to perform qualification welds on 0.040? thick materials in accordance with AWS D17.1 for both fillet and groove welds
Ability to pass a Jaeger vision test
Ability to read, write, and understand English
Ability to accurately interpret blueprints
Ability to accurately interpret work in-process documents
Knowledge of GTAW welding procedures and processes
Good verbal and written communication skills
Minimal computer skills required
Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
Ability to certify AWS D17.1, fillet and groove welds required
Ability to pass a reading test
