Job Title: Development Manager
Location: Washington, DC (Remote and Hybrid Work Schedule Flexibility)

Position Overview
We're seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for a passionate professional with 2-4 years of experience in major gifts, individual donor programs, and corporate partnerships. You'll work closely with our President/CEO and Senior Development Consultant to develop and implement strategies to engage and grow our donor base. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on creating an annual engagement and stewardship calendar for major donors
- Lead relationship cultivation strategies for major donors and corporate partnerships
- Enhance the fundraising skills of our Board of Directors
- Manage the major donor pipeline, from identification to stewardship
- Support corporate sponsor relationships and cultivation strategies
- Maintain donor databases and manage wealth screening tools
- Assist with direct solicitations and support leadership in fundraising efforts
- Conduct prospect research and review grant applications
- Track and report progress using specific metrics
- Process donations and generate acknowledgment letters
- Strong commitment to our mission, vision, and values, including dedication to reproductive and racial justice
- Proven experience in fundraising and development (Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of nonprofit development experience preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to craft compelling content for donors
- Proficiency with fundraising software and tools
- Strong time management skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach
- Enthusiastic self-starter with sustained energy and initiative
- High ethical standards, especially in handling confidential information
- Event planning experience is a plus
- Understanding of c3 and c4 fundraising strategies
