  • HYBRID – If you reside within 50 miles of Adtalem offices in Chicago, IL, Addison, IL, Columbia, MD, Minneapolis, MN, and Miramar, FL this role is hybrid, requiring office presence three days a week (Tue, Wed, Thu), with the rest of the workweek spent working from home.
  • REMOTE – If you live over 50 miles from Adtalem offices in Chicago, IL, Addison, IL, Columbia, MD, Minneapolis, MN, and Miramar, FL, this role is remote. However, occasional office visits may be required based on business needs, with advance communication for such requests.

Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

The Dean of Academic Operations is responsible for the direct management of the Academic Operations areas that support the delivery of the Academic curriculum, within the BSN Online option. The Dean provides leadership specific to academic quality, excellence, and metrics in operational areas that ensure positive student outcomes are achieved and assists the Director with BSNOL option scalability that supports the growth of the BSNOL option.

Responsibilities

  • Works with CU leaders to ensure all areas of Academic Operations support and align with curricula so that the highest levels of student achievement and satisfaction can be obtained upholding the Chamberlain philosophy, mission, and vision.
  • Works collaboratively with national and BSNOL team to ensure continuous quality improvement efforts are in place across programs and Chamberlain standards of high-quality education and compliance requirements are upheld.
  • Provides the oversight for all NCLEX strategies within the BSNOL Option. Tracks the key academic and operational metrics across programs and reports outcomes on a regular basis.
  • Participates in the onboarding, assignment of responsibilities, and metrics for the BSNOL SLS team.
  • Ensures the BSNOL option SLS team and faculty are effectively staffed by participating in the onboarding of qualified staff and providing oversight to performance management in conjunction with the Dean of Academic Affairs.
  • Works collaboratively with the Director to develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures to support, measures and monitor organizational success.
  • Works collaboratively with national NCLEX Steering Committee and Academic Quality team to develop and review all NCLEX-related strategies, metrics, and outcomes.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all NCLEX operations related to BON applications, ATT, and pass rates are reported in a timely manner to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintains accreditation and regulatory standards, including the timely completion of required reports.
  • Maintains and communicates information to appropriate stakeholders regarding current and future program initiatives.
  • Collaborates with shared services personnel and departments (i.e., faculty operations, student services, admissions, registrar, etc.) to achieve efficient and effective processes and delivery of a superior student experience.
  • Ensures efficient and effective operations in one or more program(s) to meet regulatory, accreditation, and student success needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Nursing Required
  • 5+ years years experience in a leadership role within a hospital setting Required or other clinical setting such as a physician practice or clinic. Required
  • 5+ years Years experience in high education leadership Preferred
  • 5+ years Years experience as a nurse educator Required
  • 2+ years Years experienced with the supervision and management of direct reports within a department Required
  • Above average competency in Microsoft Suite of products.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels: student, faculty and staff. Strong customer service orientation.
  • Must be familiar with and comfortable working with a matrix management system which will include leaders from across the University.
  • Professional nurse licensure Required

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $97,254.00 and $175,761.75. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
