Title: Corporate Safety Manager

Location: New Berlin, WI

Salary: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00

Job Summary:

The Corporate Safety Manager will assess, review, and analyze work environments across all locations to ensure compliance with the company's Safety Policy. They will also develop, update, and manage safety programs and procedures aimed at controlling, eliminating, and preventing injuries and diseases, including a Health & Safety Plan for all sites.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA regulations.
  • Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure adherence to safety standards and government regulations. Develop and implement training programs for managers and employees on work site safety practices at all locations.
  • Identify corrective or preventative measures and follow up to ensure their implementation.
  • Conduct safety training and education programs, demonstrating the use of safety equipment.
  • Provide health and safety orientations for new employees and develop presentation materials for these sessions.
  • Investigate ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, and other conditions affecting employee health, comfort, or performance.
  • Inspect specified areas to verify the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety gear, and first-aid supplies.
  • Maintain inventories of hazardous materials and wastes, using tracking systems to ensure proper handling.
  • Coordinate "right-to-know" programs about hazardous chemicals and other substances.
  • Analyze incident data to identify trends in injuries, illnesses, accidents, and other hazards. Determine root causes and continuously adapt policies to reduce accidents and injuries.
  • Stay updated on new equipment and related safety regulations.
  • Enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and rules for forklift operation.
  • Recognize and reward employees for outstanding safety initiatives and adherence to safety directives from Supervisors or the Safety Manager.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
  • 5-Years of experience in Manufacturing Safety.
  • Advanced knowledge of OSHA and other industry safety requirements and regulations.
  • Strong ability to train others, effectively imparting skills and knowledge; capable of clear communication to guide and achieve team objectives.
  • Capable of representing the Company positively in all situations.

Technology/Equipment: Proficiency in the use of technology including thorough understanding of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
