Controller

Job Description

We are working with an extraordinary company seeeking a Controller who will be responsible for managing workloads, improving processes, controls and related monitoring of processes and controls. This also includes management of the financial reporting process, establishing and maintaining processes and procedures to accurately and timely report both financial and operational information.

Qualified candidates must have experience with manufacturing Cost Accounting as well

Responsibilities:

• Hands on management of the accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR and payroll; and provide hands-on support during periods of peak activity.
• Prepare and oversee the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee budgeting for the company and participate in the development of specific financial profit and growth objectives for the short and long-term.
• Provide counsel to the potential financial impact of major business decisions.
• Partner with Human Resources to hire, develop, motivate, and review all subordinates in order to ensure effective and efficient office operations.
• Timely and on-going pross profit margin analysis for all construction contracts. Keep management informed about contract job performance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax reports including reports in other states.
• Monitor cash flow requirements on a project and corporate level
• Supervise and train 6 direct reports.
• Accountable for financial and accounting reporting and analysis, budgeting/forecasting, banking relations, internal controls, and payroll.
• Work cross functionally with other members of the leadership team to formulate and implement strategic objectives.
• Provide data packages to Leadership Team and branch management on semi-monthly, monthly, & annual basis as needed
  
  

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA license preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of managerial experience in equivalent role preferred.
  
  

Salary depends on experience: $110K - $125K + bonus
