What We Do:

Huddle Up has been a leader in pediatric teletherapy services since 2015. Leveraging our proprietary technology platform and our team of expert providers and pediatric clinicians, we bring a passion to treating the whole child and helping them thrive. By removing location as a barrier, we can equalize access to quality support.

As the Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, oversight, and execution of the Company's accounting functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all areas of accounting, both technical and transactional including technical accounting, operational accounting, internal controls and financial systems. Evaluate current accounting practices and policies to ensure practices, financial reporting, and controls are continuously improving, and to meet current and future requirements.
  • Lead the Company's financial close process, including preparation of financial statements, management reporting metrics and analysis, preparing and reviewing journal entries, creating and maintaining accounting schedules, and performing and reviewing account reconciliations. Continually evaluate opportunities to drive greater efficiencies and effectiveness in the monthly and quarterly accounting close process while ensuring a balanced workload within the organization.
  • Develop, manage, and mentor a top tier team that proactively drives continuous improvement and works with a collaborative mentality.
  • Act as a change agent and lead a process improvement transformation in accounting with the tenacity to excite and lead the team through process changes and enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB rules and regulations in addition to state, local and corporate policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and other financial reviews as necessary.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate. Perform cash flow analysis and forecasting.
  • Ensure integrity of accounting and financial reporting, including appropriate information systems to maintain disciplined financial planning and control systems to accurately report performance; regularly assessing the need to thoughtfully scale the systems and financial controls in support of future growth for the Company.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Experience in high growth environments. Remote-work experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and/or leading an accounting function at scale.A Player/Coach, hands-on approach to executing is a must.
  • Track record of implementing process improvements, efficiencies, and controls.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills. Proficient in financial systems and computer applications (Excel, Sage Intacct, Salesforce, Tableau, etc.).

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

The on-target earnings for this role is between $120,000 - $150,000 with bonus potential. The exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications.
