CONTROLLER
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
The controller at Baudville Brands is responsible for overseeing all financial activities and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The controller manages accounting operations, budgeting, financial planning, and analysis. Additionally, the role of the controller is critical for regulatory compliance, risk management, internal controls and provides strategic financial guidance to support decision-making and help drive the organization's financial performance and growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant regulations
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, such as profitability analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and trend analysis. Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Conduct periodic audits to assess compliance and mitigate risks.
Cash Management: Manage cash flow to meet operational needs and optimize liquidity. Monitor banking activities and reconcile bank statements.
Sales Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage sales tax returns. Coordinate with external tax advisors as needed.
Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during financial audits. Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to support audit findings.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.

- Provide accurate and timely reconciliations, budget variance, and trend analyses.
- Guide financial performance and growth of the organization.
- Leadership and interpersonal connection; the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower team members to accomplish organizational goals.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA Preferred
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a Controller or Accounting Manager/Director role
- Leadership: Experience leading finance professionals to accurate and timely reporting
- Location: Regular on-site presence.
