Continuous Improvement Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to lead our Continuous Improvement Operations team within our manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving process improvement initiatives, coaching team members, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration to optimize our value streams and site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Continuous Improvement Operations team in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing process improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
• Coach team members and facilitate peer-to-peer and leader coaching to foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Lead weeklong team projects and events to drive improvements in value streams and site operations.
• Develop and drive a roadmap for continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on waste elimination, lean manufacturing techniques, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with directors, value stream managers, and supervisory teams to identify improvement opportunities and drive strategic process improvements.
• Work closely with the CI Director to develop and implement a strategic plan for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide formal problem-solving expertise and support in lean manufacturing techniques, waste elimination, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Manage a team of Continuous Improvement Specialists, providing guidance, support, and leadership to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree: advanced degree preferred
• Certifications in Lean or Six Sigma ideal
• Proven experience leading a continuous improvement operations team within a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in coaching and team leadership.
• Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and formal problem-solving techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and delivering measurable improvements.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Day in the Life:

• Participate in daily tier meetings, rotating through lower-level tier meetings to provide coaching and support.
• Attend meetings for escalated key actions and day-over-day performance reviews for the site.
• Develop and drive long-term continuous improvement roadmap initiatives in collaboration with the CI Director.
• Work with assigned value streams and the Continuous Improvement Team to provide tactical project management, coaching, and one-on-one support.
