National General Contractor actively seeking an On-site Project Manager to lead their Heavy Industrial and Manufacturing construction projects through to completion across the United States.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The On-site Project Manager will have a strong track record of completing Ground Up New Construction, Additions, Renovations, and Build Outs of various Complex Industrial and Manufacturing projects in the $5M to $30M range, ensuring their successful delivery within schedule and budget along with the ability to manage owners, vendors, subcontractors, and field staff throughout project. Heavy industrial projects for industrial clients generally in the Midwest US with a focus on heavy matt foundations, structural steel, process equipment installation and process piping. Material handling equipment such as bucket elevators, conveyors, screens, crushers, and other industrial process equipment and baghouses. Pre-engineered metal buildings and installation of industrial grade metal sliding. Experience with Waste Water Treatment Plant facilities (WWTP) will also be considered.
Select Responsibilities:
Provide field oversight for all phases of assigned construction projects
Develop and manage project schedules.
Manage subcontractor performance relationships.
Manage Owner/Client relationships.
Be responsible for both the timeliness and total quality of assigned projects.
Prepare project documentation for coordination and effective site management.
Implement and execute Quality Control/Quality Assurance program.
Promote an Injury-free job site through safety initiatives and award winning Company safety program.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years of project management and/or construction management experience on heavy industrial & manufacturing projects.
Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent industry experience
Exceptional knowledge of construction processes and procedures; ability to successfully manage complex projects through to completion
Must be willing to travel to project sites across the US.
