Job Overview: Enterprise Financial Services client is seeking a dedicated Configuration Management Database Manager to oversee and maintain their Configuration Management Database (CMDB) ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to map the CMDB, build relationships between configuration items, and populate data in alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). You will work closely with the ServiceNow technical team to facilitate the discovery and integration of configuration items into the CMDB. Additionally, you will lead efforts to improve processes surrounding CMDB management to enhance its effectiveness and efficiency within our enterprise environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the CMDB to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map and build relationships within the CMDB.
  • Populate and enrich CMDB data according to the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework.
  • Work closely with the ServiceNow technical team to facilitate CI discovery and integration.
  • Lead initiatives to improve CMDB processes and workflows.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of the CMDB to ensure compliance with organizational standards.


Required Skills:

  1. Expertise in ServiceNow, particularly in CMDB management.
  2. Strong background in Configuration Management practices and principles.
  3. Experience with implementing and aligning with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
  4. Previous experience in managing CMDBs within an enterprise-scale environment.


Preferred Skills:

  1. Proven experience in transforming and maturing CMDB data quality.
  2. Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework.


Ideal Background: The ideal candidate will not be a ServiceNow Administrator but rather a Senior Configuration Management Analyst or Manager with substantial experience in managing complex CMDBs and leveraging ServiceNow for CMDB management.
