Title: Commercial Counsel (contract-to-hire)

Location: Remote (must physically sit in the United States or Canada)

Weekly Rate: $3,400-3,600/weekly

Type: full-time contract (45 hours per week on average)

Our client, an innovative real estate and parking solutions company, is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join its legal team on a contract-to-hire basis to sit remotely within the United States or Canada. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, procurement agreements, and tech agreements. The most qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience leading various types of these deals on their own. Having data privacy experience is beneficial and a strong plus.

This position will start as a full-time contract position with strong potential to convert into a full-time employee of the client down the line. We're open to the right candidate sitting anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. If the above sounds like you, we hope to hear from you!

Qualifications:

• J.D. or LL.B. from an accredited law school.
• License to practice in good standing in any U.S. or Canadian jurisdiction.
• At least 7 years' experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of transactions.
• Strong experience with sell-side transactions (i.e., service agreements, licensing agreements, real estate leases, etc.)
• Strong experience with buy-side transactions (i.e., procurement agreements, vendor agreements, software licensing agreements, etc.)
• Some experience with data privacy preferred.
• Previous law firm AND in-house experience a must.
• Ability to juggle multiple deals at one time, including strong prioritization skills.
• Previous management/leadership experience a plus.
