This position will work a hybrid schedule.

This role will manage the development and implementation of Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) initiatives/programs across the system. RPM is a method of healthcare delivery that uses the latest advances in information technology to gather patient data outside of traditional healthcare settings to promote better care engaging patients to assist in managing their own health. Manager provides analysis of existing programs and services and makes recommendations to management for alternative methods to enhance cost efficiencies, productivity, improved process performance and capital utilization in regional facilities. Manager is accountable for projects and tactics to increase the appropriate use of RPM and use of patient-generated data to improve patient outcomes and improve standardization and collaboration across IU Health. This includes the development of RPM strategies, business plans, and follow-up on direct or indirect implementation activities, tracking and reporting progress.

The clinical manager of operations combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. Accountable for translating and achieving our strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. Accountable for providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit. Incumbents will lead an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards. Provides oversight of unit that is operational and staffed 24 x 7, weekends, and holidays.
- Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN).
- If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
