CFO - St. Louis area

We are seeking a dynamic CFO to join our metals industry client in the St. Louis area. The CFO will possess excellent communication skills and the innate ability to develop and relay complex financial concepts and information to team members across the organization. Working hand in hand with the CEO, the CFO will analyze detailed information and develop actionable financial strategies for the organization. He or she will be the driving force behind financial department innovation and process improvement, leading with a people-first leadership and management style.

This CFO must be visionary and a leader at the highest levels. He or she will oversee all finance and accounting operations and shape the financial strategic of the organization through extensive FP&A and very close collaboration with peer executive leaders across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement financial and operational performance metrics, reviewing and developing comprehensive reports that summarize results for presentation to the executive team and Board
• Develop the financial planning process, including management of all budgeting, forecasting and short and long-term modeling
• Analyze results, identifying trends and providing insights that support strategic decision making
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to develop and monitor budgets/forecasts and results
• Partner with the CEO to evaluate investment opportunities, execute due diligence and provide strategic recommendations that optimize the allocation of working capital
• Evaluate potential M&A opportunities
• Maintain banking and finance relationships, developing funding options and working with debt / equity, various private investors, family offices, etc.
• Identify opportunities to make operational improvements, implementing efficiencies and streamlining processes that reduce costs without impacting quality
• Evaluate existing business practices and propose enhancements, working closely with department heads to execute company growth objectives
• Execute and report financial due diligence in review of proposed new product launches and market entries as well as other strategic initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance or Accounting
• MBA or CPA – highly preferred
• 15+ years of financial leadership experience is required
