The PE firm was established in 2010 and is proudly family and founder owned. The firm specialises in lower to middle-market manufacturing, industrial, business services and distribution companies. It currently owns 11 portfolio companies and to date, has completed over 34 acquisitions.
The portfolio company is a roll-up of three individual ones that have been secured under an LOI and they will be establishing themselves as one legal entity. They are expecting to welcome a fourth company within the next month or two. Each company either operates, sells or distributes products within the outdoor living and lifestyle sector. Collectively, the company’s revenue averages around $30 million and have an EBITDA average of $4.5 million. They are looking to onboard a CEO that can take the roll-up platform to $250M+ in revenue and deliver and IPO.
The portfolio company has a laid-back approach and promotes a casual dress attire to reflect the southern Californian surroundings.
VISION
What does success look like in this role?
Implementing systems and processes across the business and having a focus on people development
Create a positive relationship with the Private Equity Firm, Board of Directors and the portfolio company employees
Ensure compliance requirements are met at a local, state and federal level
Drive the business to an exit, most likely an IPO or strategic sale
Winning over the CEOs of each business and getting them aligned
Get to $100M in revenue and ensuring EBITDA Growth
Reporting directly to the PE firm board to make sure that all parties are aligned on business strategy
THE ROLE
The day-to-day role for this position will include the following tasks:
Being a hands-on CEO, get into the nitty gritty and details
Build an asset-light, multi-product and Omni channel company
Utilising each company's resources to improve the group's output
Leading the business towards an exit in 2025 to 2027
Ensuring the financial health of each company that will be rolled up into this one entity
Performing due diligence on acquisition targets
Leading DD and integration of acquisitions
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:
Previous experience within a CEO position
Experience in a consolidated/roll-up deal
PE Experience of 5 years+
$100M+ revenue experience
Direct-to-consumer via E-Commerce
Consumer and distribution experience
Indoor/outdoor living product distribution experience, selling B2C via E-Commerce and Marketplace platforms
Cash flow management
M&A integration experience as a CEO
Multiple stakeholder management experience

PACKAGE
$325,000 to $350,000 per annum, with a 50% bonus package, Equity and Healthcare.
