Chief Estimator

Goodall Brazier are partnered with a leading contractor in the Water/Wastewater space, who are looking for a Chief Estimator to oversee all bids and preconstruction work for their Water/Wastewater division across California.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide leadership and support to the team.
2. Ensure the acquisition and availability of trade contracts, services, and materials as required.
3. Collaborate with the team to assess change orders against contracts and evaluate cost estimates.
4. Support and contribute to weekly progress updates.
5. Coordinate with the project engineering team to process submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).
6. Conduct routine meetings to monitor, identify, and resolve issues, ensuring the seamless progression of construction projects.
7. Possess a strong understanding of quality requirements and ensure the planning, execution, and documentation of quality activities align with contract specifications.
8. Take responsibility for the safe conduct of personnel, ensuring compliance with contracted safety requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Over 8 years of experience in electrical, controls, or instrumentation.
3. Specific electrical experience in the water and wastewater industry.
4. On-site construction field experience.
