Responsibilities
Lead and provide direction to the core Accounting and Financial Reporting functions, including general and technical accounting, and for coordination of policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
Oversee financial reporting (external & internal) to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions, and supervise financial reporting staff
Collaborate with internal and external customers in the identification, design, and implementation of improvements in processes and procedures
Provide timely and accurate analysis of accounts, financial reports and financial trends and suggest improvements to reduce costs/increase profits
Accounting and integration support for M&A
Develop and maintain relationships that effectively represent the Company’s interests with external auditors and other standard setting authorities with respect to the annual audit and preparation of materials for the Audit Committee
Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments
Provide in-depth financial analysis to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, product costing, etc.
Train, monitor, and coach assigned staff to improve skill level, to ensure adherence to principles, policies, and standards and to improve safety, quality, and process reliability in a cost-effective manner
Maintains awareness and conformity to all payroll, federal, state, local and corporate tax laws, and policies
Team up with external M&A advisory firm on due diligence and integration work on acquisitions, strategic dispositions, and tactical tuck-in purchases.
Ensure debt covenant compliance, global cash management and streamlining of daily cash reporting.
Provide oversight and direction of external business partners, specifically external outside counsel, third party compliance services, software vendors, and placement agent.
Qualifications
15+ years of progressive, relevant experience, with a mix of public accounting and public company experience
Manufacturing industry experience preferred
SEC Reporting Experience and Leadership
Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX is required
ERP experience such as SAP, Oracle Fusion, Dynamics AX
Advanced degree in accounting or finance preferred.
