Associate Consultant- Finance & Accounting

We are searching for an experienced CFO to join my clients team of high-performing professionals and keep their finances positioned for continued success. The CFO will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations in a manufacturing setting, helping them to strategize and grow their financial position. The CFO will need to understand current accounting practices and trends, along with experience leading change. As a member of the senior management team, the CFO will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires clear and effective communication skills.


As CFO, you will report directly to the President and serve as a member of the Management Board, fulfilling the appropriate broad view of the business and having years of experience rotating through multiple roles within the finance function ideally within a small to medium Enterprises environment. In this role, you will be responsible for all financial reporting, controls, compliance related aspects of the business while also digitizing ways of working between the finance and the wider organization, providing data analytics and business insights, and building and developing a strong finance team.


In this role you will:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and serve as a hands-on financial leader with responsibility of oversight and protection of the assets and financial integrity of the company.
  • Perform financial planning & analysis functions including strategic planning, competitive analysis, budgeting, forecasting and operational analyses to inform strategic and tactical decisions made by the company.
  • Provide proactive support to the President and leadership team in relation to all financial, compliance, administrative, and legal financial matters.
  • Operate on a global basis to obtain value-added business and geographic insights.
  • Design, propose, and implement a set of financial metrics that link to the strategic plan to allow for effective monitoring of financial achievements against long-term and annual operating targets.
  • Reinforce a metrics-driven culture using objective goals and benchmarks, transparent and clear communication, and alignment across all functions of the company.
  • Be an effective change agent within the company and sector; this includes identifying change, resourcing, and managing those changes to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Prepare financial and strategic action plans for proposed new ventures, as well as root cause identification and action plans to achieve financial commitments.
  • Train and develop employees across the company, particularly within the finance organization.


What you will bring:

  • A recognized professional accounting qualification, while a graduate degree would be preferred, it is not necessary.
  • Wealth of experience with metrics-driven financial planning and analysis skills to drive the development of KPIs and the standardization of financial processes which meaningfully impacts the results & direction of a business.
  • Experience with international finance requirements and working with companies in similar growth stages.
  • Strong business partnering skills to fit into the company's culture, which emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, respect, empathy, and best practices, to establish the financial rigor accelerating growth through better decision making.
  • Track record in leading implementation of software packages (ERP, CRM) driving adoption and improving efficiency.
  • Experience in Commercial Management in developing new business models and pricing strategies and harnessing data.
  • Experience in analysing various growth opportunities and prioritizing opportunities to help quickly grow a company or large division.
  • Passionate about building and developing high-performing teams.


Required skills and qualifications:

  • Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles with an ability to inspire others, provide steadfast resolve, and personal integrity.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
