About the Role:

We are seeking a Business Development Lead to join our Growth Team. As the BD Lead, you will own the process for selling direct-to-employer from 0-to-1. We’re looking for someone who thrives on understanding complex products, enjoys aligning incentives across various stakeholders, and has the desire to create and own a sales process from the ground up.

This role will have the opportunity to lead two primary strategies at Venteur:

  • Closing inbound leads as demand for our product continues to rise
  • An outbound sales motion that goes beyond what has been standard in the health benefits industry and leverages new technology such as AI prospecting tools


Success Metrics:

  • Blast through quota – make stretch goals no longer feel like a stretch
  • Creation of a process that can be scaled as we grow the D2E sales motion


Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience selling into mid to large enterprises
  • Hustle is in your DNA
  • Located in San Francisco
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets consistently
  • Experience working at an early stage startup and developing sales processes from the ground up
  • Outstanding communication (interpersonal and presentation) and closing skills
  • Experience with a CRM (HubSpot specifically)
  • Ability to work in an extremely fast paced, collaborative environment
  • Enthusiasm, aptitude, and attitude for a fast-paced, ever-changing, high-growth startup work environment.


Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with B2B2C (especially in insurance or FinTech)
  • Experience in healthcare insurance
  • Experience selling employer health benefits into mid to large enterprises
  • Fluency navigating complicated benefits buying topics, such as cost savings and compliance


What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary: $110,000 - $125,000 per year with OTE $200,000 - $250,000
