Position:Business Development Executive
Location: Remote (Must be based on the East Coast USA)
Job Overview:
Are you currently working at or selling to AECs or MEPs in the data center market? Are you energized by networking and building relationships? Infinitum is seeking a highly-motivated connector with a strong background in HVAC technologies for the data center industry and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who prioritizes listening and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a deep understanding of data center and HVAC technologies, strong sales skills, and a proven track record of success in driving meaningful engagement. Ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience with an engineering firm as an account manager, principal, or in a business development role servicing the data center industry. Relevant experience with commercial building HVAC is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Educate and influence specifications with engineering firms focused on data centers
Influence, educate, and drive adoption with data center owners, including hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation operators
Promote the company’s products at conferences, trade shows, and other industry forums
Regularly meet with customers in-person, on-site, virtually, and at industry events
Work with customers to obtain validation and sponsorship for product evaluation, specification, and adoption
50% travel expected
Collaborate with internal teams including product, marketing, engineering, and operations to ensure successful implementation and delivery of solutions
Track, record, and report opportunities and sales performance via Salesforce
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of business development experience either representing an engineering firm or selling to engineering firms
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of work experience
Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets
Strong knowledge of the product specification process
Existing network of contacts in the data center industry
Located in or around East Coast United States
Strong knowledge of data center technologies including HVAC, power generation, and/or other technical equipment
Ability to connect with key decision makers at all levels of an organization
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts and key value propositions to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles and overcome objections
Self-motivated and results-oriented
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related fields
