The Business Development Executive is responsible for generating new business opportunities as it relates to the expansion of our video management systems (VMS), GPS tracking products and hardware solutions into new and diverse markets. This role requires a strong understanding of the VMS industry and a proven ability to generate new business opportunities. Primary duties include identifying potential customers, reaching out to prospects through various channels, and qualifying leads. This role will build a strong pipeline of potential customers to drive revenue growth and expand the company’s market presence.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership Identification: actively research and identify potential partners aligned with our goals. Explore industry trends, competitor landscapes, and emerging opportunities to pinpoint the right collaborators.
Relationship Building: Once potential partners are identified, our Business Development person will initiate and cultivate relationships. They’ll engage in meaningful conversations, understand partner needs, and create a foundation for collaboration.
Deal Structuring and Negotiation: Our specialist will work closely with legal and executive teams to structure partnership deals. They’ll negotiate terms, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with our business objectives.
Execution and Implementation: Bringing partnerships to life involves seamless execution. Our Business Development professional will coordinate efforts across departments, ensuring successful implementation of joint initiatives.
Ongoing Relationship Management: Beyond the initial deal, our specialist will maintain relationships with partners. Regular communication, performance tracking, and adjustments as needed will be their responsibility.
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to ensure consistent and sustainable sales performance.
Develop and manage partner relationships to maximize engagement and performance.
Gather and analyze market feedback to inform product enhancements and innovation.
Collaborate with the product development team to tailor VMS and GPS tracking solutions that meet the specific needs of each target sector.
Implement market testing strategies to validate product-market fit and refine go-to-market approaches.
Analyze data and metrics from market tests to inform strategic decisions and improve product offerings.
Requirements

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the technology or security industry, with a focus on Video Management Systems.
Proven track record of successfully generating new business and driving sales growth.
Strong understanding of the target sectors: schools (higher education), health systems, transportation and logistics, manufacturing and industrial, hospitality and entertainment, utilities and energy, and corporate campuses.
Additional Comments
Standard business hours for this role are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET.
Approximately 35% of travel, both local and overnight for company meetings, industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, etc.
