Business Analyst - ERP

The Business Analyst is responsible for leading the implementation of business processes. This position will work on various projects including but not limited to the evaluation of current processes in order to maximize existing systems and business solutions, as well as the transition to new systems. Business Analyst acts as a key liaison with various cross functional partners to ensure that the business needs are being met on a daily basis as well as on a project to project basis.


Key Accountabilities:

Facilitates requirements gathering sessions to understand and document complex business needs, often eliciting hidden requirements and/or clarifying vague or unclear requirements. Analyzes business operations and processes to understand strengths and weaknesses. Supports the identification of opportunities for process improvement, management control of work, or automation.

Creates requirements definition documentation and functional specifications to capture business needs using advanced business processes. Creates workflow diagrams to document current and future business environment. Validates with the customer and shares with project stakeholders. Applies thorough understanding of business processes and user needs to formulate and define system scope and objectives.

Partner closely with the Director of IT to work through systems issues and to identify process improvements

Tracks progress of projects to ensure alignment to requirements; manages any deviations from requirements to ensure resolution.

Provides implementation support, preparing the business for the system solution. Acts as a subject matter expert and supports train-the-trainer and other learning activities with Corporate Learning and Development and Business Partners.

  • Perform business process analysis and assist with the design and development/ improvement of new and existing SOP’s
  • Support project plan for transforming organizations from current to future state with various departments
  • Provide research to develop detailed, cross-functional business processes that standardize and streamline ways of working
  • Prepare organizations for process change and actively support the change through day-to-day operations oversight and executive sponsorship management
  • Review process adoption and adherence regularly by maintaining a pulse on the organizations and vendor community and effectively resolving roadblocks
  • Administer user acceptance testing to obtain buy-in and sign off from stakeholders prior to implementation, includes external partners requiring access to applications
  • Assist with the development of new testing methods in order to analyze the effectiveness of recently implemented processes
  • Develop user documentation such as guides, training materials, etc.

Assist in creating/editing training documentation

Support end user training sessions and workshops

Maintain communication with the business on project statuses and issue resolution



Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree preferred and 5-7 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with Product Lifecycle applications and systems a plus

Experience constructing, implementing, and communicating new operational processes and procedures

Previous experience with large-scale organization transformations and system implementations (Blue Cherry ERP system experience a plus)

Experience in retail/apparel industry a plus

PMP Certification highly desirable


Skills:

Solid understanding and use of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and BI systems

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey clear and concise thoughts and ideas

Excellent time management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects at a given time

Excellent analytical and research skills

Ability to interact with all levels within the organization

Ability to identify goals or requirements in user area that are conflicting with overall organizational goals, and raise them as appropriate

Ability to clarify vague, undefined business needs, and determine how to best address them

Ability to identify potential opportunities to automate and/or improve an existing process

Ability to develop alternative solutions and provide recommendations for business case

Can add value across multiple areas of the business.
