Job Description

The Blain Group is a privately-owned commercial property owner with two award winning multi-story buildings in Livonia, Michigan as well as five single-story buildings throughout Southeast Michigan.

We have a need for a full-time Building Maintenance Technician. This position has a 40 hour work week, and salary is commensurate with experience. The candidate should be experienced, dependable, and hard working.

Responsibilities:

  • Office build-outs (demo, wall construction, drywall, ceiling tiles, painting, etc…)
  • Maintain HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, repair furniture, etc…)
  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and ballasts)
  • Respond to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues as directed by Property Manager
  • Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects
  • Maintain corporate safety procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Proven experience as building maintenance technician
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Must have the ability to climb heights, lift up to 60lbs. and climb onto ladders


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
