Botanist

LSAs Pt. Richmond office is seeking to hire a qualified and experienced botanist to provide botanical field survey services for projects in the Bay Area and Northern California. Experience with botanical surveys throughout Northern California, as well as in vernal pool areas in the Central Valley, is especially important. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 years of experience with botanical field surveys and biological resource assessments, including focused field surveys for state and federally protected plant species. A botanist with a valid 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training certification and/or proficiency working with geographic information systems (GIS) is also desirable.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $98,000 per year. The compensation offer will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
