The Bookkeeper will support the custom countertop manufacturing business and report directly to the Founder and owner. The Bookkeeper will manage financial transactions, manage the cash and bank accounts, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with accounting regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.
The Bookkeeper will execute all management tasks under the direction of the Commercial Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Cash management - projections and recommendations
Close monthly and yearly books
Tax planning, compliance and filing with governments
Manage bank daily, weekly and monthly - balances, cc statements, fraud
Monitor A/R and deposits, collections, take actions, make recommendations
Monitor AP, plan, execute,
Post credit cards information into SP, reconcile
Process expenses
Invoice - daily
Payroll and manual check for bonuses (semi-monthly)
Oversee team, define responsibilities, metrics, training
Check timesheet punches, resolve issues. Enter sick time, vacation
Support OE measurement
Create SOV and schedule of values for projects along with approving and adding a change order to make sure we get paid and include it in the billing.
Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
Utilize accounting software to maintain financial records.
Continuously improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or a similar industry.
In depth knowledge of ERP systems.
Experience with accounting software - Stone Profit preferred
Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
